In this first module, learners lay the foundation for a successful career in data analytics. Through a structured approach, they dive into the core principles of data analytics, harness the potential of spreadsheets, learn about AI applications, and master the art of SQL querying. With a focus on practice with industry-standard tools like Google Sheets, Excel, and BigQuery, learners gain the hands-on experience they need to tackle complex data challenges.

Python Foundations

In this module, learners take a journey through Python, even if they have no prior experience with Python or coding. Through hands-on projects and real-world examples, they gain the skills to tackle complex data challenges using Python. From mastering the fundamentals of programming to working with libraries like Pandas, they’ll learn how to process, analyse, and visualise data in ways that drive meaningful insights throughout the program.

Communicating Analysis Results

In this module, learners are taught how to transform data insights into engaging narratives that captivate audiences. They’ll dive into the world of interactive dashboards using Tableau and Power BI, which will allow them to create visually stunning and informative presentations. They’ll also focus on honing their presentation skills, including the use of effective body language, to ensure that their message resonates with each and every person in the room.

In this module, learners dive deep into the techniques used to understand customer behaviour, optimise e-commerce strategies, and drive business growth. From mastering cohort analysis and RFM segmentation to building insightful A/B tests, learners gain hands-on experience with the methods essential for making confident, informed decisions.

Product Analyst

In this module, learners dive into the world of product analysis. They’ll work with user event data, applying additional logic to extract valuable insights. While the specific analyses may vary depending on the industry and company size, we'll focus on three key areas: Funnel analysis, Ad-hoc analysis, Running A/B tests.

Marketing Analyst

Get ready to explore the dynamic role of a marketing analyst! In this module, learners work with digital ads data, user event data, and various marketing campaign metrics. We'll focus on: Calculating marketing metrics, Analysing ad performance, Running A/B tests.

Payments/Monetisation Analyst

Money makes the world go round, and in this module, learners understand how crucial payments and monetisation analysis is for any business. Working with transactional e-commerce data, they'll analyze it from a payments perspective. We’ll focus on: Understanding the architecture of payments data, Analysing various payment-related metrics, Running Pareto analysis.

Financial Analyst

Financial analysis is all about diving into financial statements and disclosures. In this module, learners work with various financial reports and become familiar with different metric calculations to understand how companies are performing, whether they're worth investing in, and if they're financially sound. We’ll focus on: Profit and Loss statements, Balance Sheets, Cashflow Statements and Ratio Analysis.

Risk Analyst

While risk analysis is a broad topic, in this module, we’ll concentrate on its most common application in banks and other financial companies. We’ll focus on: Understanding a financial institution’s balance sheet, Estimating credit risk, Learning different approaches to calculating credit risk.

How does this apprenticeship benefit businesses?

How does this apprenticeship programme use blended learning?

The programme combines online learning with hands-on projects and one-on-one mentorship. Learners engage in interactive coursework, live sessions, and real-world data analysis tasks, which helps them immediately apply their new skills in the workplace. This flexible approach allows them to balance training with their daily job responsibilities.

What funding is available?

If your organisation pays the Apprenticeship Levy (which is likely), the training programme will normally be fully funded from the Levy Account. However, if there are insufficient funds in the Levy Account OR the organisation is an SME which does not pay the Apprenticeship Levy, then the government will fund 95% of the training cost and the employer is asked to contribute 5%.

What qualifications do apprentices receive?

Upon successful completion, learners earn a Level 4 Data Analyst Qualification, recognised across industries. This certification validates their ability to analyse data, build models, and support data-driven decision-making.
